Newbies

So I finally finished this... not sure If I like it but... to late now...

Jesse smiled and winked at Anne as he unloaded the smallish stocky horse from the trailer. Willow had saw these new breeds of horses called the Canadian Forest Horse and the Neon Fires. It was one of the few times Jesse saw her with any emotion besides anger. She had walked into the barn this morning, everyone was doing chores Andrew was moving some horses, Jake was cleaning stalls, Anne was trying to clean tack but Jesse kept stealing kisses and not emptying the dirty water bucket from Star's stall, when she had walked in slowly. Andrew instantly stopped, but he was more in tune with Willow disappearing for years with a person will do that. Anne and Jake did too, but Jesse was of course off in his own world.
"Jesse! You and Jake are going to be unloading and caring for two new horses today. Jake I feel like you've become a very responsible and helpful member of the barn so i'm assigning you to a new breed of horses called Neon Fires. We have a stallion coming in on a trailer this afternoon, this horse will take work and he might be a little bi-polar but I feel you can take care of him if you bond enough I may let you keep him." Jake smiled real big and stood up very tall and straight then.
"Jesse, i'm assigning you to a new breed as well" Jesse puffed up almost right away. He winked at Anne.
"It's called the Canadian Forest Horse, This one is particularly tricky and I would describe as a pony like nature. Have fun don't ruin the horse, If you do well I might promote you a little and give you the horse mess it up and you will no longer be allowed to handle horses." With this Willow turned and walked out.
Now it was that afternoon, Jake had unloaded the Neon Fire he promptly named Lion Heart, and took the new stallion to the stall. Jesse was a little late but soon he was unloading his new charge.
"You sure you can do this Jesse... If you fail you can't ride STAR anymore, I know you love him, and want willow to give him to you.." Anne started, but Jesse interrupted her.
"It's gonna be find you heard what she said he is like a pony!" He said all this without realizing the new horse had slipped his halter and was running to the mare pasture nose in the air.
"Um Jesse..." Anne said trying to hold in a giggle.
"He will be a easy case I mean he's standing so nicely right now!" He said still smiling at Anne. The new horse was now rearing along the mare fence line bucking and dancing around many mares were at the fence, Old Lady was trying to bite him.
"Jesse..." Anne said a little louder.
"Trust me babe, I've got this!" He said crossing his arms.
"JESSE!" Anne yelled and turned him around, he saw it then. He looked down at the halter then back at the horse.
"Bloody hell..." He said and ran after it.
"Hey!! CANADA!!!" He yelled after it as he ran about.
Anne laughed loudly and then noticed Willow walk up beside her. They both watched as Jesse chased the runaway horse.
"He can do it Willow, I know he can... He loves STAR so much.. i'm positive he can do it." She turned to her with some tears in her eyes, Willow still looked ahead.
"I know he can Anne, I intend to let him have his choice of the two horses when he does, don't tell him. You have yet to have a horse of your own Anne." Willow stated. Anne smiled softly and shook her head.
"I don't think i've met my special horse yet, I love Phantasma but then I love all the horses. Pick one for me Willow I can't." She shuffled her feet.
"Well give Phantasma more of a chance, I'll assign her to you, if you love her by the end of the season you can have her." Willow smiled at Anne then.
"You know you remind me of a younger more innocent me Anne. I love that about you." Willow looked at Anne then walked away.
Anne smiled, You have no idea how much I admire you Willow
